probably not as good as yours on Ice/Snow, but I wanted excellent performance for non-snow conditions which we have most of the time, but still have tires made for low temps and winter conditions which is why I went this route. so I suspect your change in ride is expected. Have not put mine on yet, but you got non-performance winter tires. Anyone else notice this with their non-run flat winter tire setup. When cold, say 50 degrees Fahrenheit, this tire felt even more uniquely plastic and refused to seat on our wheel. Installation in colder temps was a much more difficult task. Despite the odd feeling of this tire, our Topeak Joe Blow Booster set the bead on the first try. All Season tires perform better in winter conditions than summer tires, and are a good choice if you experience very mild winter conditions. A half hour or so in direct summer sun and the bead became more uniformly round.

Like you said, it’s treated as a control tire against winter rated tires. afternoon can be a half dozen or more psi low on a cold November morning. Agree - the article mentions that the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 lacks performance in cold weather environments. I expected some change but this feels downright weird. Heres my check-your-air-pressure stump speech: Id rather see your tire. With these Michelin winter tires I can feel almost everything on the road through the steering wheel - and at high speeds it feels like I'm driving on a water bed (bouncy ride). That's fine with me, but it might bother some drivers. They ride very much like a winter tire would on dry pavement. what a difference! Pirellis planted the car firmly on the road at high speeds with little to no road feedback through the steering wheel. Overall Feel As one would expect from a tire optimized more toward cold weather, these tires have a more 'grippy' feel to them than a summer-optimized tire would. So I switched from Pirelli all-season runflats to Michelin Xice3 (not runflats).
