#DIGITAL PERFORMER 9 RELEASE DATE UPDATE#

I'll update this post in the future with links to the release version. Future releases will probably include a more streamlined version that takes advantage of things like multi-bounce, etc., but I wanted to initially recreate the original as closely as I could. There are a few things in the source template that I think are over-engineered for DP, especially with some of the new 10.1 functions. This first release will be a relatively 1:1 translation of the Logic template. I've also made new user presets to support those templates, written documentation, and created a bundle export in case anyone can use it in the creation of other templates. Initial release will contain two templates - one with a single MIDI track per articulation and one with a single MIDI track per instance for keyswitching. Also, if someone has already done this for DP, please let me know - I couldn't find any with searches, especially today when "BBCSO" returns 8 billion hits on the new release thread. I'm looking for 3-5 people willing to kick the tires and beta test it to see if there are any glaring mistakes I've made. After a 4-month delay, I'm close to finalizing my translation of the SA BBCSO Logic template for DP. It is my strong hope that I can find a way to overcome this or at least minimize the amount of work required. I have submitted a request to Spitfire for some technical information and hope to be able to address that by v1.0īoth of the above issues can be worked around, but it requires the user to manually adjust the template. Core and Discover version users have reported that the template does not load properly, even on Mac.v1.0 will include a version that works on Windows. This is because I myopically used the AU versions while developing it on Mac. The template does not correctly load the BBCSO plugs on Windows. If you just want to kick the tires a bit in advance, though, here's the current version as of :ĭownload the BBCSO Template for Digital Performer 10 If you have not yet downloaded this template, you might want to hold off until I've released v1.0. This will take me a few days to configure. I suspect that the next version (1.0) of the template will not be compatible with version 0.4.2 or earlier and will require replacement of some presets. Because this update includes not only a new instrument, but adds articulations to existing ones I may need to recreate many of the presets, especially in the Brass section. UPDATE - 1: After seeing Paul Thomson's overview video of what's going to be in BBCSO version 1.2.0, I think my updates will be more significant than previous revisions.
